Currant Creek

Brent, Toker and I spent the last couple days at Currant Creek campground, just past Strawberry Reservoir. Every year the Lee family spends Father's Day. I don't think anywhere could be a better place for dad's to be on their special day. This is my first year, and definitely not the last.

The view on our four wheeling ride - Brent, Toker and I

It is such a beautiful place to explore, fish, shoot and go four wheeling. That's exactly what we did, for two days. Camping food is almost always my favorite. Smore's, a selection of dutch oven cobblers, steak and hamburgers, OH MY!
I didn't catch anything

I realized that I'm not the top dog fisher I used to be as a kid. I'm starting to think my grandpa must've been my good luck back in the day. It's been YEARS since I caught anything. Brent did catch one in the little time we were fishing. The trout has some of the best flavoring I've ever had, and the only thing I added was salt and pepper.
But the sunset was beautiful to watch <3

We spent plenty of our time four wheeling, then stopping to hike and explore. This place is magical with all the beauty it has to offer. I'm grateful to live in a state with endless places to go for nature, no cell service and happiness.
My riding gear, kept all the dust off of me
Ready to go on our first ride!
Toker hung out in the back of the rhino for a long ride
Getting' crazy on the quad

One of the rivers we hiked up
So much beauty to see
Brent and I at a river spot
I'm so lucky to spend all my time with this guy <3
We were camped out by the lake all the way in the back of this picture
I could listen to moving water for hours

Brent brought out his shotgun, and I am finally able to shoot clay pigeons and actually hit them! Brent's sister in law kicked all of our butts with her awesome aim! Way to go Charity!!!
I hit 2 out of 9, not too bad ;)

Toker went paddle boating
Out in the middle of the lake, paddle boating
I am so grateful for the Lee family and letting me come join in on all the fun. They have been so much fun to get to know and become closer to, especially when my family is so far. I'm looking forward to all of the great memories we will make in years to come.
