Overnight getaway

Brent and I celebrated our 7 month anniversary on Friday the 7th. Most of the time, this wouldn't necessarily call for a large celebration, but since money has been so tight (making date night difficult) we decided to enjoy some amazing sushi, sake bombs and Sapporo. I loved spending time with my man, sitting outside in the warm summer evening weather.

Any fancy dinner date with my hot man calls for a hot outfit and I loved mine this night.

I'm so grateful I found Brent and couldn't have dreamed of someone more perfect for me. He came around when I needed him most and continues to brighten my world daily. The last seven months have felt like years because of the connection that we've developed in such a short time. I love him with all my heart and look forward to the many more months ahead of us <3

Brent and I do not like the daily routine of life where we work 40  hours a week locked away in a building surrounded by more buildings and cars. Let me rephrase that, Brent and I HATE the daily routine of life. To the point where we want to sell everything we have and live off the mountains.

As much as we dream, it's not really an option right now. It's also easier to talk about doing it than actually doing it. As much as I hate that I have to work for things that I have, I feel a little attached to the luxury of living in a house with warm running water rather than a cold stream. I think that would be the hardest thing for me.

So for now, Brent and I settle for overnight getaways and hopefully for double nighter weekends throughout the summer. We are so lucky to live in a beautiful state with mountains so close. We camped right on a raging river with the running water as our background noise. It was so relaxing to fall asleep to and wake up to.

We spent some time exploring and discovered a beautiful view point overlooking the valley and Utah lake.

We had an awesome time with some of our closest friends. Couldn't ask for a better weekend!
