Oi Mai

Anyone who knows me, knows that my mom is my best friend. Our relationship has continued to grow since my freshman year of high school when we first started being more of "friends" and not angry teenager vs. parents. She is my foundation and inspires to have the strength that she has always had! I can't wait to be a mom just like here and hope to be as close with my kids as her and I are.

Girls Weekend 2010
10 things I'm grateful my mom blessed me with:
1. The most incredible step-dad in the world!
2. Younger siblings
3. Intelligence (I have her school abilities)
4. Job interview skills
5. LOVE
6. The best friendship
7. Never-ending support, even when I mess up
8. Words of Wisdom
9. Stories of her life experiences to help better mine
10. Being able to talk to her about ANYTHING

The end of one summer, she came to pick me up from my real-dad's in Washington and we drove home to California by ourselves. This song was on repeat pretty much the whole way: "My Immortal" By Evanescence - It will always be our song!

Thanks for everything mom! I love you!! xoxo

  1. Okay, BAWLING, FLATTERED, and TOUCHED just can't say enough about my reaction to this post! I don't think I've ever had such things said about me . . . except maybe on my wedding day???

You're so incredibly awesome, Duckling. I am SO very proud to be your mother. It's a task I seldom feel worthy of, but am always proud of.

Love watching the great young woman you've become and continue to grow into. How could I possibly ask for more?

    I LOVE YOU xxxooo
